What is Hidden Mental Health?

Not all mental health challenges are visible. Not all have a name. And not everyone gets the support they need—especially when their symptoms are subtle, misdiagnosed, or simply not "severe enough" for formal recognition. At Get Lost, we call this hidden mental health.

Who Our Services Are For

Our programs are designed for anyone navigating mental strain, emotional overwhelm, or mental health challenges—whether diagnosed or not. We welcome individuals who may be:

  • Struggling with undiagnosed or misdiagnosed conditions

  • Living with neurodivergence such as ADHD or autism

  • Experiencing anxiety, depression, or persistent low mood

  • Dealing with hopelessness, lack of motivation, or feeling stuck

  • Facing housing instability, couch surfing, or feeling socially isolated

You don't need a label or a referral to join us. You just need a willingness to show up—and a little curiosity about what time in nature can offer.

Why Hidden Mental Health Matters

Hidden mental health is often overlooked, but it can have a profound impact on daily life. When left unaddressed, it can lead to more serious or persistent mental health struggles down the road. The earlier we create space for support, the better the outcomes—for individuals, families, and communities.

Studies show that spending time in nature, connecting with others, and engaging in meaningful activity can significantly reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall well-being. Sometimes, that’s all someone needs: a sense of belonging, a walk in the woods, and someone to say, “I see you.”

Our Approach

Get Lost offers low-barrier, inclusive programs designed to meet people where they are. Through guided outdoor activities, peer support, and community connection, we provide simple, accessible ways to reconnect—with nature, with others, and with yourself.

If you've ever felt like your struggles "aren't bad enough" for help, or you don’t know where to start—this is your place.
