Vision

To create a sustainable, community-powered retail space that gives outdoor gear a second life while funding meaningful wellness programs in the North Okanagan.

The Great North Thrift Store exists to support recovery, inclusion, and environmental responsibility. By rehoming donated outdoor gear, we reduce waste, increase access to nature, and generate the resources needed to run life-changing, nature-based mental health and addiction support programs through Get Lost.

Our vision is a circular economy where every donated tent, jacket, or pair of boots becomes part of someone’s healing journey—and where giving back is as simple as cleaning out your gear closet.

Mission

To fund accessible outdoor wellness and recovery programs by collecting, restoring, and reselling donated outdoor gear. We exist to connect community generosity with meaningful impact—supporting mental health, reducing waste, and making nature more inclusive for all.
